Bondi’s resident rock star salon The Chop Shop celebrated its first birthday on April 23 with a crowd of over 500 people at Bondi’s Cream Tangerine beachside bar.
The first birthday celebrations went out in rockabilly style as guests watched live tattooing from Bondi Ink, a burlesque photo shoot, and perused a mini shoe boutique from sex kitten cult shoe brand Peep Toe Shoes.
The Chop Shop and O&M stepped up to the hair styling plate and Gorgeous Cosmetics finished off models faces for the highly anticipated fashion show from Bondi boutique Purdy Klampet.
Dressed in red and black to honour the rockabilly vibe of The Chop Shop, guest were entertained with Bobby Disco spinning tunes at the decks, beers by Peroni, cocktails by Vodka O and Santa Vittoria and pizza from MAD pizza.
The night drew an eclectic mix of fashion and media darlings with Underbelly star Damien de Montemas, model and It-girl April-Rose Pengilly and MC Blue from the Potbelleez all kicking on into the early hours to the sound of waves crashing.
