The launch of the Desmond & Molly Jones Hairdressing Academy has been announced by Leonard Newton, owner of Desmond & Molly Jones Hairdressing in Surry Hills, Sydney and Simon Bright, Award winning Colourist and Educator.

The Desmond & Molly Jones Hairdressing Academy sets a new benchmark in hairdressing education combining a familiar and friendly in-salon atmosphere with industry expert knowledge and cutting edge creativity.

“I looked around at other courses available to prospective attendees and really felt there was a big gap in the market for hairdressing education that was strongly rooted in the real world,” said Leonard.

“When renowned colourist and experienced educator Simon Bright joined our team it really galvanised things. With Simon’s depth of experience and talent, it was clear that with the two of us at the helm of the Academy we could offer something that people were crying out for. This is a venture that I’ve been planning for a long time and I'm so happy to have my vision being realised,” he added.

All classes are kept small to ensure a relaxed, yet engaging atmosphere and all practical work is carried out on real models.

The five bespoke courses have been created with the realistic requirements of todays hairdresser and include Classic Cutting and Colouring, Creative Colouring and Cutting, Brunettes,Blondes and Redheads, Barbering and Sunday Social.

The Desmond & Molly Jones Hairdressing Academy experts also offer in-salon Courses, where salon staff can learn in their own familiar environment.
