Wella Professionals ambassadors Renya Xydis, Vincent Nobile and Frank Apostolopoulos joined Sebastian Professional ambassador Joey Scandizzo at a function at Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom to give their predictions on the upcoming season’s trends to a 500-strong crowd on Sunday June 13.

The four super stylists were united under the new P&G Salon Professional umbrella, each bringing their unique set of skills and creative vision to the stage.
First up was Renya Xydis, who, joined by Haleema Harris from her Valonz salon, talked guests through colour trends for Spring / Summer 2010 – think blue roots or pink ends for style with an edge.

Renya and Haleema presented four models, each styled to suit each of Wella’s four current trends, Natures Goddess, Midnight stage, Nomad Couture and Techno Poetry., Renya also discussed the importance of bringing the catwalk to the chair – offering her salon clients looks that were at once fashion focused and wearable.

Next up was Vincent Nobile from Headcase Hair, who talked the audience through the new blonde shades to be launched by Wella later in the year. Vincent presented two models on stage – and on his third model, he demonstrated a ‘waterfall’ effect of colour, to the captive crowd.
Vincent's blonde tips for the season were to go for shades that are natural and never brassy, with a leaning to ash shades – think Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson.

Frank Apostolopoulos came on next – displaying some of his stunning precision cutting. On stage, he created a defined, solid shape with strong, sleek lines, as he discussed the new SP line from Wella Professionals describing it as ‘very new, progressive – designed for professionals.” And Frank’s hair care trend for the next season? "Healthy, shiny hair that is cut with precision," he says.

Finally it was Sebastian Professional ambassador Joey Scandizzo’s turn to take the floor. Joey shared his trend prediction for next season: think hair that has volume, body and a natural look – it shouldn't look overstyled or overworked. He also referred to Ruby Rose, admiring the way she always pushes the boundaries and isn’t afraid to set the style, rather than follow it.
