L'Oreal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2010

The countdown has begun and in only two short weeks, the national finalists of the heavily anticipated L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2010 will be revealed at an awards evening at the Melbourne Convention Centre on July 4, 2010.

One of the most prestigious hairdressing events in the world, the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy is held in five continents and 37 countries, and has consistenly proven to an excellent source for uncovering fierce hairdressing talent.
Over the past two months, L'Oréal Professionnel hosted State Finals around the country where some of Australia’s most talented hairdressers were acknowledged for their creativity as colourists.
The State Finalists will now all go into the running for the L’Oréal Professionnel Next Generation Award, Men’s Colour Award and the coveted L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy, at the National Final.
The 2010 Colour Trophy judging panel has been handpicked and comprises of industry icons both here and overseas.
The line-up includes Editor of Marie Claire Jackie Frank, International Brand Ambassador Laurent Decreton (France), L’Oréal Professionnel Ambassador and leading celebrity colourist Jo Hansford (UK), L’Oréal Paris Make Up Director Rae Morris and fashion and beauty commentator Dhav Naidu.
Finalists will recreate their submitted looks for the judging panel and will be critiqued on hair colour, cut and style, as well as the total look including make up, styling and magazine potential.
The winner will then be announced live at the national final where they will win up to $120,000 of prizes, education and national endorsements as well as a trip to London to attend a prominent industry hair seminar.
International judge, ambassador and Parisian hairdressing personality Laurent Decreton, who has worked on the haute couture shows for Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent and Jean-Paul Gaultier will also present an incredible international showcase featuring a spectacular live fashion and hair show.
The National Final will be hosted by hosted by comedian and TV presenter Wil Anderson and will feature performances by the Potbelleez and Vospertron.
