The Blue Project
[Tue 24/08/2010 11:41:00]
Proudly supported by Paul Mitchell, The Blue Project is an environmental initiative that celebrates influential individuals and charities dedicated to preserving and protecting our earth’s oceans.

Among those individuals is Paul Mitchell Co-founder and CEO John Paul DeJoria, who joined actor Pierce Brosnan, pro surfer Chris Malloy and Olympic swimmer Caroline Burckle on the pages of Malibu Magazine’s June/July 2010 issue, in honour of their environmental activism, and dedication to ecological causes.

The Blue Project has flourished under the care of director and photographer, Steven Lippman and publisher of Malibu Magazine, Jason Rouse, and has evolved from print to viral activity with its very own website www.malibublueproject.org.

From the annual slaughter of over 25,000 whales and dolphins for commercial profit to the abundance of pollution and artificial plastics clogging the waterways, Steven and Jason are working to collaborate dynamic personalities with oceanic organisations to talk about and act on the issues destroying ecosystems sustaining our planet.

They believe it is their moral duty to take a stand, stop the bloodbath, to clean up the water – and inspire humanity to clean up their acts – to prevent the further degradation to one of the few remaining natural resources, preserving it for future generations.
