Kristina's toast to triumph

Nestled in a Paddington pocket is Sable Hair – the brainchild of Australian successful session sartorialist, Julianne McQuigan and creative playground of current Hair Expo Colour Technician of the Year, the little-bit rockabilly, very much talented, Kristina Russell.

The local colour force who won over Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo 2010 judges with a quintessentially Australian palette sporting a melting pot of tones as vivid and awe-inspiring as Ayers Rock at dusk, decided a party was in order after literally living the dream of every aspiring Aussie colourist.

Held at the place it all began – Sable – a beautiful selection of friends, family and industry heads including Chic’s Jake Gordon (tipped to be one of Australia’s next biggest male models) gathered to sip and celebrate Kristina’s milestone.

Guests were treated to a Sable credit voucher and selection of Redken 5th Avenue NYC products in appreciation of their support.

Gazing over Kristina’s winning collection – proudly placed behind reception for all to peruse – there’s little doubt the tattooed style-setter will be offering healthy competition on the Hair Expo finalist board for many moons to come.
