There have been some big changes at YM Salon in the past few months. To start with, Jorge Rivera has partnered with Sandra Thoma to inject a dose of European glamour into the salon.
As Salon Director, Jorge will oversee the creative development of the staff and ensure a luxurious benchmark is set across hair, skin, body and makeup services.
Also joining the team is Josh Taylor as Artistic Director and Chad Drinkwater as Style Director.
YM Salon has also partnered with luxury French salon brand, La Biosthetique, The salon will stock the entire range as well as La Biosthetique’s exclusive Belesthetique skin care.
With a rejuvenated team and product line, the salon itself has had an interior design facelift to complement this new partnership.
The official date to celebrate the relaunch of the salon, Thursday, October 21, will see the introduction of YM Salon’s first ever ambassador, Darcey Bussell.
Widely considered to be one of the greatest English ballerinas of all time, Darcey was the only choice for Sandra and Jorge when it came to the person who best represented their idea of the ultimate beauty.
“Darcey is beautiful and graceful, as you would expect from the former principal ballet dancer of The Royal Ballet, but when you combine these looks with her warmth, charm, humour and wit then you have the most divine and aspirational woman. These qualities are indicative of the natural and holistic spirit we wish to convey for our salon, which is why she was the only consideration for us,” says Sandra.
Darcey is equally delighted to represent the salon.
“From the moment I met Sandra, I immediately felt that I had met a kindred spirit. She exudes such warmth and humour. When she approached me about being an ambassador for their salon, I absolutely jumped at the opportunity. I was already a client and adored their services, but with all the amazing changes that Sandra and Jorge have instigated, they’ve certainly lifted the salon to another level,” she said.
