Fudge Rocks the Runway at NZFW

Dark, mysterious and with a hint of ‘80’s goth glam, Fudge rocked the runway at New Zealand Fashion Week for designer Jimmy D.
Taking inspiration from a cult 80s vigilante movie and the dark underground world of Norwegian Black metal music, Fudge created a dramatic look that complemented the deep and mysterious tension of the collection.

Fudge Artistic Director, Luana Coscia, worked with a team of 12 Fudge stylists to create hair that was as impactful as the show’s haunting sound track.
Hair was prepped by blow-drying Fudge Salt Spray into it to create texture, volume and hold.
“We made sure the perimeter of the hairline was dried straight back, with no kinks, bends or partings allowed,” said Luana.

Hair was then styled section by section, evenly painting Fudge Hair Gum onto the crown for a dripping wet look.
“We also mixed in a bit of Fudge Liquid Erekt for heat protection and extra hold. Hair was then manipulated with a wide-tooth comb to eliminate partings and leave the hair with thick comb grooves across the scalp,” Luana added.

The tenuous, sinewy texture of the hair perfectly complemented the oversized pieces in Jimmy D’s collection.
The catwalk looks can be softened for everyday wear by applying Fudge Liquid Erekt to dry hair before straightening, followed by a generous spray of Fudge Membrane Gas while blow-drying hair back off the face. Finish with Fudge Head Shine for a sleek, glossy finish.
