[Tue 14/12/2010 12:11:32]
On Monday 22nd November, Gallo Hair super-stylists including salon owner Phillip Gallo and colour technician Francesco Petrone, arrived in Queensland to present a two-hour look-and-learn seminar for 30 hairdressers in Townsville.

The seminar was divided into two sections. The first half saw Phillip and Francesco work together on three models, to create wearable, editorial looks while showcasing their cutting and colouring skills.
The duo presented detailed step-by-steps, explaining how they created the looks as well as the colouring techniques used.
Phillip created a short, disconnected women’s cut which showed a variation on short hair which had a modern undercut but retained a feminine feel.
Francesco presented creative colour techniques, working with geometric shapes through the fringe using two vibrant tones of coppers and gold.

Phillip also cut long layers with a symmetrical fringe as Francesco demonstrated the Balayage technique - ideal for summer.
The second part of the afternoon gave seven stylists the opportunity to demonstrate what they'd learnt, each working on individual models.
‘The seminar was fantastic, the Townsville stylists had not had a guest artist visit them for four years! They were very grateful we were there," said Phillip. "As we said to Wella, we’d really like to do more regional shows in places like Rockhampton, Hobart, and Bendigo, places where they don’t get guest artists. We’d really like to become more involved, and show the regional towns our work.”
