During October and November 2010, existing and potential customers of The Creative Group were invited to donate a last season item of clothing to The Creative Group Fashion Exchange.

In exchange for the item of clothing, The Creative Group customer received $10 off their service. Each piece of clothing that was exchanged was then sold on EBay, with all proceeds donated to the Butterfly Foundation.
The total amount raised by The Creative Group, which combined both Ebay collections and additional donations made by the salon trio was $1,287.
Client donations ranged from high street fashion apparel to premium luxury brands, including a hot Marc Jacobs jacket donated by the main man himself, Jacen Ward.
Other donations included an almost new pair of Prada wedges and a current season oyster silk jacket from new fashion label Miss Unkon, which has a concept store located in Westfield, Pitt Street Mall.
The charity, The Butterfly Foiundation, was selected as a significant not-for-profit organisation for The Creative Group, as Jacen was keen to raise awareness about a condition that, having been involved in multiple fashion and beauty events, he has witnessed far too frequently.
“The Creative Group Fashion Exchange initiative was developed to raise awareness of a serious illness that is unfortunately prevalent within the world of fashion, and therefore the vocation within which I work," said Jacen.
" In exchange for an item of clothing, which has become temporarily redundant with the change in season, customers have assisted in the fundraising efforts of a permanent challenge to the human perception of shape and form.”
CEO of The Butterfly Foundation Christine Morgan praised the efforts of The Creative Group, who are once again pushing conventional methodologies to do things a little differently - on this occasion, in the fundraising domain.
