i.color recently earned a prestigious award for its green-minded hair color packaging. The Paperboard Packaging Council honored the company with its Eco Excellence Award for its recycled i.Color and i.Luminate hair colour cartons.
The award was part of the 67th Annual National Paperboard Packaging Competition, the industry’s premier showcase for all that is new and outstanding in paperboard packaging, design and technology.
According to Zotos Vice President of Operations Anthony Perdigao, the judges evaluate the competition entries in three key areas: environmental (sustainability, use of recycled and reusable materials, clean production processes); economic (efficiency of production, optimized reductions of materials and energy) and social (safety and health enhancement, responsibility.)
