Walking Water Warriors
[Tue 19/04/2011 04:10:06]
In conjunction with Aveda’s Earth Month, now in its 12th year, the nationwide Walk for Water routes in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth raised awareness for the daily struggle of people around the world without access to clean water.

The 6km walks were attended by the general public and a number of well known faces, including television presenter Sami Lukis, news reporter Tracey Spicer, model and presenter Kyly Boldy and journalist Sarah Wilson.

Sydney water warriors stretched their limbs before strolling the scenic Bondi to Bronte coastal walk and were treated to an Aveda ‘Stress-Relieving Scalp and Shoulder Ritual’ with Aveda Blue Oil Balancing Concentrate to complete their efforts.

This year, Aveda has extended its fundraising initiatives in Australia to include support for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal – distributing funds locally in an effort to provide much needed support to Queenslanders.
