RAFW: KMS California for Bec & Bridge

Bec Cooper and Bridget Yorsten had an uptown Lauren Hutton in mind for their 'Violet Haze' Spring Summer 11/12 collection complemented by KMS California Hair Director and International Artistic Director Clive Allwright, writes Mark Barwald.
Their beautifully executed collection, with its mostly longer, looser silhouette, abstract florals, and sherbet coloured fedoras, looked to 70s New York for inspiration. There was a carefree spirit to the collection, and that sexy 70s bounce to the hair.
Cooper and Yorsten worked closely with Clive and his supporting hair team. “We couldn’t be happier with the team we have working on the show this year – the brilliant partnership of Clive Allwright and KMS will our vision brought to life.”

Get the look:
1. Spritz KMS addvolume Root and Body Lift, to the roots and blow dry straight with a large round brush.
2. Next apply KMS hairplay Sea Salt Spray, to dry hair and blow dry it into the hair with a large brush for extra volume. This creates texture.
3. Using a comb place a centre parting in the hair and comb the hair behind the ears.
4. Using a large curling iron (38mm), and KMS flatout Hot Press Spray curl the hair in large sections allowing the hair to cool for 10 minutes, pinning each section to the scalp and allowing to cool.
5. Once the hair has cooled take a soft bristle brush and brush the pin curls applying KMS hairplay Dry Wax for hold and bounce
6. Using KMS flatout Anti-humidity Spray, spray and comb through the top part of the shape to reduce fly-aways and to add shine.
7. Apply KMS hairstay Medium Hold Hairspray generously to finish the hair.
