Style Masters Amsterdam

Revlon Professional and American CREW joined forces in Amsterdam last month to present their latest hair trends and showcase collections at Style Masters.
Now an annual event, The Style Masters Show hosted by Miguel Garcia, Revlon Professional’s International Artistic & Education Director, was attended by a 3,000 strong audience including stylists and distributors from around the globe.

American CREW’s Artistic Director Craig Hanson, presented the brand’s 2011 New Folk Collection as thirty male models paraded New Folk’s three key textured curl styles - Alexander, Robert and Jon.
“The energy of the American CREW All-Star team came through in the 30 model-strong show”, says American CREW Australia Team Crew member, Phoenix Thompson.
“Showcasing the New Folk Collection, and launching the new ‘Superglue’ product using models sporting a fusion of punk and rockabilly inspired hair was truly jaw dropping.”

In true CREW style, guests were not disappointed as they were also treated to a runway show of men showcasing modern sport looks and classic crew styles.
Revlon Professional also took to the stage to preview its culturally inspired collections, Marrakesh and New Hollywood – launching July 2011 and early 2012 respectively.
According to Garcia, the versatile styles of the Marrakesh Collection were inspired by a city torn between tradition and modernity and the ‘woman on the go’. The looks are designed for the real urban woman who has the world at her feet yet needs to adapt to the many situations she faces each day.

Garcia and his team of stylists also wowed their audiences with Revlon Professional’s New Hollywood Collection - a re-invention of classic Hollywood glamour. Inspired by the iconic Hollywood ‘red carpet’, the latest Collection and its underlying red theme works to deconstruct traditional Hollywood glamour and modernise it for today’s woman.
“Working with the Revlon Professional International Artistic Team in Amsterdam was mind blowing!! Talented and creative hairdressers from all over the world with one goal, for Revlon Professional to be breathtaking - and that it was!” says Olivia McFarlane, Ozdare Technical Educator.

The event also celebrated the announcement of The Style Masters Project competition winner, an international initiative born in 2010 by the Colomer Group to recognise the excellence of hairdressers around the globe. Lala Khachatryan of Russia, was awarded with this highly-esteemed accolade by Colomer Group CEO, Lorenzo Delpani.
