Marlo Perry of A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness

What is your blog called? How did you come up with the name?
My blog is called A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness. It's actually a phrase from one of my favourite Gwen Stefani songs, ‘Harajuku Girls’. When I first started my blog it was a dedication to all things cute, so I thought it was a good fit for the theme and even though my content broader now, I'm still a cuteophile so I think it works well.

When did you start blogging?
I started my blog in November of 2009 after the suggestion was made to me by a prominent social commentator on Twitter.

What is your blog about, why did you choose to blog about that topic?
These days I write about anything that I really love in life – fashion, beauty, food and lifestyle products. I also upload my outfits for both work and going out, pictures of my pets, events and launches and of course, anything I think is cute! I blog about these topics because they are the things I like to keep up to date with myself.

Do you blog full-time or part time?
It's hard to say if I'm a full-time or part-time blogger. Sometimes I go crazy and post a couple of times a day, and sometimes the poor thing is neglected for weeks at a time. I'm juggling full-time study, full-time work in the legal field as well as volunteer and committee positions and

What is the best thing about blogging?
Being able to reach a large number of people and offer advice on fashion and beauty along with recommendations for movies, restaurants, exhibitions and other products. When someone emails you or comments to say that they love their new hair or had a great birthday dinner thanks to a tip you gave them on the blog it's a lovely feeling.

What have you been involved in recently?
I've just started a blogging gig with fashion label BlueJuice, so I certainly have a lot on my plate!

Any last words?
If you're thinking of starting a blog make sure you write about something you love; don't just start it because you think you will get invited to fun events and be sent free product. Be yourself and engage your readers and most of all, stay cute!
