John Paul Mitchell Systems celebrated three days with its creative community at the Annual Gathering Event in Las Vegas.
A gathering of 3,300 passionate, artistic hairstylists and salon owners eager to share their love for John Paul Mitchell Systems met in Las Vegas to be inspired by cutting-edge cut, color and styling techniques, and salon business skills.
The annual Paul Mitchell Gathering was held from July 17 – July 19 at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada combining an agenda of artistic presentations, hands-on classes, experiential brand kiosks and a white attire themed party.

The Grand Opening began with an episode of “Where in the World is JP?” as the audience followed JPMS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Paul DeJoria on a 3-D day-in-the-life adventure; DeJoria making a grand entrance parachuting in a MITCH yellow jumpsuit into the audience to kick off the introduction to Paul Mitchell’s new men’s line launching September 2011.
Cut and colour demonstrations introduced ideas for Fall 2011 whilst business classes and hands-on workshops kept attending stylists busy in theory and practice, delivered by the likes of Angus Mitchell, Takasi Kitamura, Scott Cole and Lucie Linda Yodice.
A creative cluster of stylists could not leave without the spectacle of a Closing Ceremony, bringing to life on stage the ideas behind Paul Mitchell Holiday 2011. From a Tim Burton inspired vignette to a 1960s love-in, from Disney’s Pinocchio to Pirates of the Caribbean the show expressed the height of creativity and talent in the Paul Mitchell team - certain to ignite passion in loyal followers worldwide.
