NZFW: ghd for Ruby
[Tue 06/09/2011 03:42:05]
Soft and feminine, Ruby presented a collection of loose tailoring and floating fabrics teamed with a soft ponytail from ghd Hair Director Sara Allsop.

“We wanted to have a slightly dishevelled and tousled ponytail, but still give it that modern edge to go with the metallics within the collection,” explains ghd Hair Director Sara Allsop.

Sara Allsop for ghd
“It was about the loose freshness of a young woman just pulling her hair back softly into that ponytail.”

Get the look
1. Prepare the hair with ghd Heat Protect Spray and ghd Root Lift Spray.
2. Create a strong centre part down the middle of the head, once you have centre parting, divide hair into 2 sections (one at the top and one bottom).
3. Slightly backcomb the top section of the head from roots to mid lengths.

4. Once this is done take your ghd styler through from roots to ends turning the styler slightly under at the ends.
5. Pull the hair back into a low loose ponytail, and divide the ponytail into three sections.
6. Starting from the outside, cross each section of hair over once then secure with a hair elastic.

7. Divide the ponytail into two sections and pull outwards to tighten.
8. To create an editorial effect, backcomb the ends gently.
9. Finish with ghd Final Fix hairspray and ghd Final Shine Spray.
