The Official Hair Partner for Perth Fashion Festival 2011, L’Oreal Professionnel took Brad Ngata across the country to unveil new season style.

Brad Ngata
The Official Hair Director for the week long Festival Brad Ngata (NSW), together with members of the L’Oréal Professionnel Session Styling Team; Marie Cain (WA), Candice Faranda (WA), Johnny Candy (VIC) and Danielle Solier (VIC), created stand out hair looks for Australian designers such as Yeojin Bae, Magdalena Velevska and Aurelio Costarella.
Aurelio Costarella - The Soft Mood
“Soft, floaty hair to compliment the clothing was a key driver for this inspiration,” said Ngata.

“The frizz texture creates a ‘light mood’ that represents modern femininity”.

Get the Look:
1. Spray the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art Pli. This will allow the heat to set the hair in place for maximum texture.
2. Section the hair into small parts, wrap each part around a U-pin and clamp with a hair straightener.
TIP: Allow to cool before releasing each pin.
3. Brush out and enhance the volume by backcombing the hair gently. The effect is full, almost afro hair that floats as you walk.

Yeojin Bae - The Effortless Woman
“The inspiration behind this ‘raw’ look was effortless beauty, as if the girls had created this style themselves,” said Ngata.

“Yeojin Bae is very minimalist, which is the style we wanted to transcend through the hair. A low, raw bun was the perfect way to highlight the natural beauty of this collection.”

Get the Look:
1. Prep the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art Volume Lift mousse; blow-dry it in.
TIP: Do not brush the hair when blow-drying, this will allow for a ‘raw’ texture.
2. Pull the hair back into a really tight, low set bun. Do not worry if pieces fall out.
3. Finish the style with a spray of L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Lumière to capture the strays- yet keeping the look quite natural.
