Gen Y Meet Matrix

Jules Tognini took his Gen Y training program ‘Y NOW’ to Indonesia this month as the Matrix Design Pulse Ambassador.

Delivering the latest Gen Y hair trends to Indonesian hairdressers, Jules Tognini headed the Matrix Australia Design Team for a rollercoaster style experience and after three days of preparation, 12 models were styled in front of an audience of 1,600 - many of whom were budding stylists.

Showcasing the Matrix Dual Voltage 2012 trends, Jules presented 12 models with ‘low voltage looks’, every day hair styles, and ‘high voltage looks’, avant guard styles. The looks showed off crimping, extensions and crazy colour whilst cuts were short and sharp with strong colour highlights in violets, greens, blues.

“When Matrix first told me that there was going to be 800 hairdressers attending the show my jaw dropped, but nowhere near as much as it dropped when they told me that the show over sold,” exclaimed Jules.

“No longer enough seats for every one, the show was to be standing only… it was like a rock concert with 1,600 people crammed up against the stage!” he added.
