The in-salon treatment works by infusing a unique formula of amino acids, proteins, silk and pearls into the hair’s cuticle without breaking the hair bonds like some relaxing treatments - it’s guaranteed to improve the condition of even the most unruly hair types or over-processed hair. This treatment is ideal for straight hair too. Once treated the hair is luxuriously smooth and silky.
With each treatment the hair’s ability to repel humidity and blow-dry faster and easier is the biggest advantage - a thermodynamic heat reaction takes place during the treatment that safely bonds the ingredients into the hair, while repairing the cuticle and adding shine and moisture – unmanageable curly hair is a thing of the past.
How does the system work without formaldehyde? Hair straightening methods do not work by formaldehyde alone. There are other methods that work at a molecular level that can temporarily alter the hair structure. CHI Enviro uses one such system with a unique composition that combines Hydrolyzed Proteins and Amino Acids in a low PH solution that enters the hair and synergises with the hair’s natural proteins. It is then cured with 210 degree ceramic heat to temporarily smooth, strengthen and moisturize the hair. The range is also free of formalin or methylene glycol.
Can CHI Enviro be used on chemically relaxed or straightened hair? Yes, it will actually help strengthen, repair and restore hair that has been previously relaxed or straightened – this type of hair is lacking moisture and strength because of the chemical process so it is recommended to use the highlighted/porous formula.
