Hair Expo GenNext Project 2012

Committed to supporting the next generation of Australian hairdressing talent, Hair Expo launch the 2012 GenNext Project.
Through an Australia-wide search, the project will see five aspiring hairstylists get the chance to be part of the largest and most prestigious industry event in the southern hemisphere; in a joint initiative with Sharon Blain, Hair Expo Educator of the Year 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The five chosen artists will be mentored by Sharon and the Art of Hair team to put together a collaborative show for the Hair Expo Sunday night GenNext Gala on June 10 with Hair Expo and Excellent Edges contributing to the production of the show.
To enter the search, budding stylists need to submit a 3-minute video that captures why they think they should be selected. Judges will be looking for the most creative young talent, with footage of their work and artistic vision, previous show or competition experience as well as their age and time spent in the industry.
The industry will have the chance to comment on its favourites via the Hair Expo Facebook page, before the lucky finalists are chosen.
Entries close 31st January 2012
Winners will be notified by phone on 14th February 2012
