Intercoiffure Oceania Competition

Across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, junior and senior Intercoiffure members competed in photographic form to not only be the best in their chosen category but in their region.

Overall Winner - Anthony Ahkim Tan (Hair Mania, NSW)

Asking stylists to channel their imagination, creativity and skill in bringing together a total look, the Intercoiffure Oceania Competition demanded a unique and creative photographic entry depicting the talent and inspiration of the entrant.

People's Choice - Johanne Martinelli (Head Hunters, WA)

Receiving 150 entries from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, the talent seen in 2011 was deemed outstanding.
“We found this year’s competition was the most exciting due to the inspiring categories,” says Cheryl Delmo, President of Intercoiffure Australia.

“In some categories, like Mad Men, we were amazed at how many entries we had. The calibre of artistic work in the Oceania Competition was at the highest level and Intercoiffure is very proud of its members,” Cheryl adds.

Senior Mens Winner - Melissa Chappel (Dale James Hair & Beauty, WA)

Taking inspiration from the latest Intercoiffure Mondial Collection looks, stylists chose from the categories Cosmic Trip, Barocco Ethnic, Folk Earth and Mad Men – forming a photographic competition that combined originality, elegance, experimentation and great craftsmanship.

Junior Mens Winner - Danielle Tucker (Franco of Canberra, ACT)

Johanne Martinelli from Head Hunters (WA) won hearts in the People’s Choice award with her take on the Folk Earth category while overall award winner Anthony Ahkim Tan from Hair Mania (NSW) astounded judges with his Folk Earth representation – Anthony receiving full registration to the Australian Intercoiffure Congress for the next year as part of his prize.

Intercoiffure Australia would to congratulate all entrants in the 2011 Intercoiffure Oceania Competition.
