NYFW: Redken for Alexander Wang
[Tue 21/02/2012 11:18:04]
Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau created an effortless and charming ‘downtown’ look for Alexander Wang’s AW’12 collection show.

“Within the simplicity, there is a point of view,” Palau insisted of the straight style, split down the middle see at the Alexander Wang show in New York.
The style, fit for the classic Alexander Wang girl, was a simple downtown look that bordered on tomboyish yet effortless and charming - a perfect match for Wang’s chic, modern, must-have sportswear.

Guido for Redken
“When designing his collection, Alexander is very in tune to the details and designs for the girl today, and we wanted the hairstyle to reflect that as well. It’s a very simple look, an easy down style with a center part and hair tucked behind the ears. It’s a very wearable hairstyle as well- straightforward and effortless,” explained Guido.

Get the Look
1. On damp hair, apply Satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion all over to create the foundation for the style and blow-dry the hair until about 80 per cent dry.
2. Create a very clean center part.
3. Apply Outshine 01 anti-frizz polishing milk from the mid-lengths to ends and let hair air dry the remaining 20 per cent to bring out the natural texture. The Outshine 01 will prevent that hair from frizzing as it dries.
4. When dry, tuck the hair behind the ears.
