NYFW: Redken for Calvin Klein
[Tue 21/02/2012 11:33:04]
Contrasting textures and looks were on offer at Calvin Klein thanks to Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau.

“We love ponytails at Calvin Klein but this season we’re adding a little something extra – we’re contrasting textures from the crown and the actual ponytail for an added edge,” said Guido.

“We also created four stand-out cuts inspired by the 1920’s on four models. Each of these girls has a slightly different, edgy cut with dark black hair based on a 1920’s flapper bob style – they are meant to be characters in the show.”

Get the Look
1. Create a deep left side part.
2. Layer in hardwear 16 gel from hairline to the nape of the neck – hair should be flat to the scalp.
3. Pull hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck.
4. Apply glass 01 smoothing serum all over the crown of the head for high shine.
5. Spray powder refresh 01 throughout the ponytail so there isn’t any shine, for a true contrast to the texture of the crown.
