The International American Crew All Star Challenge took place in Brussels earlier this week, and Australian finalist Ben Kane from Rokk Man Barbers presented a runway look, having been announced as an esteemed global finalist, along with 14 others, last month. However, it was Adam Mir from the UK who took home the illustrious global title in a night dedicated to innovation in global style.
The final chapter in the American Crew All Star challenge for this year was held alongside the Revlon Professional 9th Style Masters show, where almost 4000 stylists from over 50 countries congregated. Awards featured at the important Revlon Professional event included the Global Winner Award (presented to Julia Beckers from Germany), as well as prizes for Best Commercial Look and Best Live Execution.
For the American Crew All Stars, the evening was one of many highlights in Brussels, which also included a photoshoot with American Crew founder David Raccuglia, and the brand’s launch of the 2017 ungrooming movement-inspired Americana Collection.
Adam walked away with a prize consisting of US$10,000 and global media coverage.
“The All-Star Challenge brings together the next generation of stylists and groomers who are shaping literally and figuratively the future of style,” David said. “They are a digitally native group that connects not only with clients behind the chair, but in this new global forum we live in. Their accessibility to trends and cultures contributes to the exciting visions they bring to the competition.”
