A four-day hair education retreat has concluded, with Salon Support and their Destination i.salon event having hit the Gold Coast from July 16 to 19.
Held at the Grand Sheraton Mirage Resort, the event included a combination of cut, colour, business and all-new techniques, with guest artists Mazella & Palmer, Rebecca Taylor, Ben Mollin and business presenter Julie Piantadosi taking to the stage to inspire attendees. Pravana Colour Authority and Salon Support artistic educator Stevie Vincent from Stevie Vincent Hair Artistry and Mia De Vries of the Fox & the Hair assisted on a number of shows over the course of the event.
Guests were welcomed with Pravana and i.color themed cocktails on opening night, with an extravagant hair show by Mazella & Palmer, which saw them recreate their renowned collections, Forgotten Circus and Demeure, acting as the evening highlight. The Monday session was a seven hour informative masterclass by the duo that explored their techniques and aesthetic in more detail, before a night on the Gold Coast social scene.
Tuesday began with a Master Barber presentation by Ben Mollin, which was formatted as a look and learn hands-on masterclass showing attendees how to perfect their barbering skills. This was followed by viral rainbow colourist Rebecca Taylor, who went through each step in a unicorn colour look, with an Instagram photo shoot to finish.
The Tuesday night was the perfect end to the day, with a White Night Party that saw attendees dance to 90s tunes and be entertained by the GIF selfie station.
Ending on the Wednesday, the four day event was finished by well-known business presenter Julie Piantadosi, who hosted a three-hour session on customer service supremacy.
Colour, cut, men’s hair, editorial and business acumen – Salon Support made Gold Coast the ideal destination for everything your salon could need, ensuring Destination i.salon was a trip to remember.
