Salon Melbourne 2016 Wraps Up

Over 5000 beauty professionals and beauty enthusiasts streamed through the doors of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre over the weekend for Salon Melbourne 2016. Global and local brands, leading educators and industry icons were all housed under one roof over the two days, doing their part to showcase, launch and teach the latest products, treatments, trends and technologies.

“We have received some very positive feedback from participants and attendees, thanks largely to a sensational line-up of quality brands, unique education sessions and a plethora of live demonstrations,” said Julia Erben, Event Director, Reed Exhibitions. “Business opportunities for the companies who participated in the event are already being realised, while many visitors said they left Salon Melbourne feeling inspired, more knowledgeable, and better equipped to service their customers and build their businesses.”

Event highlights included the comprehensive Skincare Sanctuary, where high-profile brands such as Dermalogica Australia, Elizabeth Arden PRO, Danne Montague-King (DMK), MBK Skin, Jean D’Arcel Cosmetique and PAYOT presented the latest advancements in skincare. The all-new HUB was also a feature, providing interactive insight into makeup, nails, anti-ageing and grooming, with live demonstrations presented by industry figures.

The education agenda was, as always, a significant facet of the event, headed by renowned educators across sectors of makeup, skincare, business and more. Becca Gimartin, Cleo Tucker, Jazz Pampling and Rae Morris were just some of the big names who took to the stage and the front of the classroom to share their ideas, techniques and insider tips.

The expo floor was another major drawcard, with over 150 brands including Napoleon Perdis, Shortcuts, Bodyography, Rae Morris, Payot, DMK, Dermalogica, Elizabeth Arden Pro, Lycon Precision Waxing and the Kangan Institute offering new releases and intel in skincare, makeup, software and education to the many attendees. Away from the expo floor, the Salon Melbourne Party invited a host of industry professionals to network at the esteemed Crown Metropol’s Skybar Lounge in a one of the weekend’s biggest events.

Now that Salon Melbourne is in the books, we can officially start counting down to Hair Expo as the next premier event from Reed Exhibitions. If Salon Melbourne is anything to go by, don’t expect to sit down for one second come June 11th.
