Meet what’s being touted as the UBER of the beauty world…
Consumers now have a new and simple method of booking their salon, courtesy of the new global phenomenon Vaniday app and its Australian launch.
The innovative app was launched in Brazil in March this year, and from there expanded into the UK, Italy, France and the UAE. Since making its way to Australia last July, 500 salons have already signed up to the site, with iconic establishments such as Wild Life and Brad Ngata Hair in the mix. Since starting with a predominantly hair salon demographic, the app’s Australian market has grown to feature salons across beauty, nails, fitness and wellness.
The app allows consumers to search for these services, and with GPS tracking information, only the nearest salons are shown. From there the consumers can view each salon’s pricing, treatments and other elements, with each salon included being heavily profile by the app. Vaniday sends a photographer to take a series of high quality images to best represent both the salon and the app, ensuring a consistent, high-end aesthetic for the site, and while salons can apply to be featured, they are mostly approached.
“We wanted to create an experience that allows customers to book services based on their individual needs and have treatments booked in a matter of clicks,” said Global Founder and CEO, Maxime Legardez, whom founded Vaniday. “We also nurture our salons and make small and large business’ more accessible and therefore profitable. All our salons in Australia are hand-picked for their excellent treatments coupled with great customer service. In turn the salons can showcase their work, connect with new and existing clients and grow their business.”
The business model works in a way that suits the salon, with each salon able to design their own pricing structures as part of the app. Vaniday takes 20 per cent of the initial cut for generating new salon business, but this does not extend past each client’s first appointment. Clients can leave reviews, check out specific stylist profiles and book right there on the app, with the appointments immediately syncing to the salon calendar.
Sydney’s beauty media were treated to the Vaniday experience, with blow-dries, manicures, spray-tans and makeovers on the menu at Wild Life’s flagship Milson Point salon. Guests learnt just why this app has been so successful overseas whilst being treated to a service of their choice against Wild Life’s inimitable harbour views.
With the app rolling out to another eleven cities in the next six months, Vaniday is set to be the next household name in beauty. Uniting salons with clients in an all-too-easy way, we can see why.
