Yazbukey for Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura has teamed up with Paris-based accessory and jewellery designer, Yaz Bukey, to create a quirky cosmetics range, in stores May this year, writes Chloe Falivene.

Yaz Bukey, fresh from celebrating her company’s 15th anniversary, and worshipped around the world for her tongue-in-cheek feminine sophisticated-pop perspective, pushes Shu Uemura’s clean and luminous Japanese sensibilities to the max. With each product covered in Yazbukey’s trademark red lip motif, the collection takes the cosmopolitan pin-up inspiration to a new level.

The extensive range includes eye shadow and eyeliner, rouge, nail colour, eyelashes, makeup bases, and cleansing oils. Hero products include the I love my shu shu palette, with seven eye shadows in four textures alongside a glow on blush, and two striking sets of false eyelashes, dazzling flare tina and flip color yaz.

“I strongly believe that make-up should enhance a person’s individuality,” shared Shu Uemura’s international artistic director, Uchiide. “Our individuality has many dimensions too… Choose your favorite image and color just like you select clothes every morning. I’m sure that you will discover a stunning new side of yourself to share with the world.”
