Byron Bay Wintersun Seminars

Designed by hairdressers for hairdressers, the Byron Bay Wintersun Seminars offer a great opportunity for unwinding while learning valuable professional skills in a small group environment.

Developed by former hairdresser Ross Francis, he knows all too well the physical and mental strain that full-time hairdressing entails. Not only does it require up to 50 hours a week of standing and repetitive movement, hairdressers also find themselves acting as counsellors on a whole range of emotional issues – the effect of which can be exhausting to say the least.

Running over five nights, the Wintersun Seminars are set in the picturesque surrounds of Byron Bay and consist of daily workshops, seminars and treatments including yoga, reflexology, shiatsu and the Alexander Technique. In addition, a listening workshop is designed to give you the opportunity to share challenging salon tales – Dr Hilton Koppe, author of “Letting Go of the Client from Hell,” will host a workshop encouraging you to reflect on your most challenging client experiences.

Outside of seminar events, attendees can indulge in a range of activities – discounted rates apply to kayaking with dolphins, whale watching and surfing lessons to name just a few.

The seminar is priced at $970 which includes a return Ballina/Byron Airport transfer, welcome dinner, well being treatment of choice, four workshop sessions and a final night feast.

The 2009 seminar dates are June 22-25, August 10-13 and August 31-September 3.
