Suki Hairdressing go green

Multi-award winning NSW salon group Suki has made the switch to Easydry towels in a bid to save more than 250,000 litres of water annually.

The decision to make the switch was an easy one as the highly absorbent, biodegradable and recyclable Easydry towels have massive green credentials and are a much more cost-effective option than traditional alternatives.

Suki is committed to sustainable growth that encourages social responsibility and respect for the planet. This is a daily challenge that concerns our business and led to our decision to save more than 250,000 litres of water a year by using the innovative single-use biodegradable Easydry towel,” said Sandy Chong of Suki Hairdressing.

Not only does one machine-load of cotton towels use around 60 litres of water but the traditional washing process is a labour-intensive and expensive one.

“It is such an honour to have industry icons like Sandy Chong from Suki Hairdressing using Easydry. Both Sandy and Brett McKinnon (co-owner of Suki Paddington) really care about making their salons as green as possible. When they looked at what they could do in the way of conserving water, Easydry was an obvious choice for them because of its proven international reputation for quality and environmental credentials,” said Gavin Hinton, general manager of Easydry Australia.
