Wella Professionals‘ new wave of business seminars have put salon owners in the driver’s seat and, thanks to intelligent insights and expert educators, are helping steering businesses to success.

Wella Professionals’ relaunch in September 09 followed thorough research into the industry. With the aim of understanding exactly what drives salon business, Wella conducted a staggering 28,000 hours of research with over 20,000 hairdressers.

The findings of this valuable research were shared with salon owners and managers during key business-driving seminars hosted by Wella, across Australia and New Zealand. Presented by the Wella management team, the seminars motivated and educated over four intensive hours of business inspiration.

Marketing Manager Prue Watson enlightened attendees on the integral role of structure, as she detailed the importance of a yearly promotional plan.

Education Manager Andrew Tetley shared interesting statistics – with research showing that salons that attend Wella education increase their turnover by 14 per cent more than salons that don’t.

Sales Manager Steve Keating closed the seminar with an interactive workshop that dealt with salon issues including staff motivation and retention, low rebooking rates, targeting the right demographic and up-selling.

Participants walked away with a DIY promotional kit and salon health checklist, ensuring they could diagnose their business’ condition, remedy any malady and identify areas for opportunity.

“[The seminar] was so inspirational. I went home and organised a business and marketing plan for my staff,” said Sarah Roberts from Linea, Croydon.
