Australian model and evo advocatew Nicole Trunfio has been racking up the all-round cool credits in NYC. She started with her accessories range and has now shot the first video for her band Henry Blak, filmed in Nicole’s own LES penthouse. evo was bouncing between set to sidelines – transforming the Aussie chameleon into character, writes Tracey Withers.
Nicole is playing the flipsides of a woman in a relationship: the woman caged vs the woman liberated. Evo ambassador and creative director Cassie Harwood, together with stylist Erin Purvis, cropped a dark wig and roughed it up a little to get a visual on the “perfect” yet distressed woman who feels trapped. Nicole unleashed was styled up with a spin on cornrows, meant to express both an inner-strength and capacity to spiral out of control.
In the kit:
Cassie prepped the wig with mister fantastic texture spray and builders paradise working spray before rough drying the style and injecting haze styling powder for grit and love touch shine spray to lock down strays.
For Cassie’s take on cornrowing, end doctor smoothing sealant was applied to twist sections back, before mister fantastic texture spray misted through ends for a wet, worn-in vibe.
Henry Blak’s track will be previewing online from March 16, before the official April 3 launch at Andy Warhol’s former studio in SoHo.
