Little Mix are taking part in a well-worn teenage past time – singing into your hair tools as if they were microphones (and if you still do that in the salon, no judgement here). With the camera set up where the mirror would be, Little Mix provided a backstage glimpse in their new video for Hair, featuring Sean Paul, and have chosen ghd as the tools of choice to play those faux-mics.
The limited edition ghd azores collection pearl platinum styler was particularly highlighted in the video clip, becoming the ideal straightener to both style and sing into, while the ghd air also made an appearance. The storyline for the video follows the band as they enjoy a girl’s night in – complete with cocktails, pizza, robes, makeup and hair styling. Lyrically, the song talks about having a dramatic cut or colour change to get over a bad breakup, with the lyric “hair on the floor like my memory of him” painting the picture of, presumably, many of your clients post-breakup.
Hair for the Little Mix band members, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, was made ghd-levels of glamorous to complement the tools, with each singer still retaining their individual style. Leigh-Anne pulled off voluminous curls, while the other members sported the ghd signature soft waves, with Jade creating interest with a violet-blonde hue, Jesy wearing her staple red-brunette and Perrie poised as the perfect blonde.
Since being uploaded last month the video has been viewed over 29 million times and commented on over 43, 000 times.
I think we all know which straightener the tween army will be singing into from now on.
