Oscar Oscar salons celebrate 20 year anniversary

Oscar Cullinan opened his first Oscar Oscar salon in Brisbane in 1989. Twenty years on, he now has seven Aveda Concept salons – with the eighth set to open in Melbourne’s fashion-savvy Chadstone shopping centre in late November.

Born in Ireland, Cullinan’s training in the hairdressing industry began in London with the iconic Vidal Sassoon, instilling in him an eye for detail, world class styling techniques and the drive to become an industry leader.

Since moving to Australia, Cullinan has continued to build a profile in the industry – his commitment to creating glamorous, sexy hair has seen him associated with some of Australia’s most high profile fashion events. At Sydney Fashion Week, he worked with designers Alex Perry, Camilla and Marc, Toni Maticevski and Jayson Brunsdon.

Cullinan is also regularly called upon, for his professional styling and editorial advice, by the world’s most glamorous fashion and beauty magazines. In the past he’s styled young starlets including Paris Hilton, Jade Jagger and The Veronicas as well as Aussie models Miranda Kerr and Erin McNaught.

He has also published the Oscar Salons Vision Book which has become a training manual and source of inspiration for his team. It includes award-winning collections and motivational words as well as step-by-step instructions to create fourteen classic and contemporary looks.

To help Oscar Oscar salons celebrate the twentieth anniversary milestone, Oscar Oscar salons will be offering new Oscar Oscar online members a complementary Aveda Treatment (valued at $30) with any hairdressing service between November 1 and December 31, 2009.

Furthermore, Cullinan is now looking to expand the brand, and is seeking Oscar Oscar salon entrepreneurs, with partnership opportunities available in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
