Paul Mitchell Emerging Artist winner announced

With a story board inspired by Paris meets ‘soft-rock’, South Australia’s Bonnie Louise Aldritt has been crowned winner of the inaugural Paul Mitchell Emerging Artist Style Session.

Paul Mitchell Emerging Artist photo shoot

For her efforts, Aldritt nabbed the opportunity to assist photographic genius Andrew O’Toole and Hair Expo Hairdresser of the Year finalist, Frank Apostolopolous on a star-studded shoot recently. With a ‘relaxed rock meets Australian style’ brief, the shoot will appear within the pages of indie-bible, Oyster magazine, and also as part of Paul Mitchell’s future advertising material.

“The shoot worked so well for a number of reasons. The models were pretty amazing and incredibly well suited to the hairstyles and I also think the team fully understood the nature of the brief and what was expected. I think the most important thing is not ‘overdoing’ a shoot like this – and that’s why it’s so cool!” said Andrew O’Toole.

Mariam Enegd of Victoria’s BIBA scored second place for her story board that was inspired inspired by Gucci and modern rock – think soft finishes, smoky eyes and leather. Third place was awarded to Nicole Tomeo of Salari Design in New South Wales for her efforts that drew inspiration from David Bowie and 1980s rock gods.
