An amazing number of partners and sponsors have rallied to support Hair Raise, creating a show that’s going to be bigger than ever before, writes Adeline Kintono.

For the first time, businesses inside and outside the industry came together to support the event and its organiser – NSW Hairdresser of the Year Kobi Boshish – to assist the HeartKids NSW and OzHarvest charities.

As the Official Partner of Hair Raise, Paul Mitchell’s team know more than anybody the great work HeartKids have done. Taylor – a beautiful baby girl of Paul Mitchell State Sales Manager for NSW Chris Harvey and his wife Amanda Harvey – was born with a heart defect three-and-a-half years ago and the organisation was by their side through the tough times.

“As a key sponsor, we want to utilise this opportunity to act as a voice for HeartKids. This is a great vehicle for the cause and it’s really empowering to think that we, the industry, can collaborate and ignite broad interest on behalf of both HeartKids and OzHarvest,” Managing Director of Paul Mitchell Australia, John Pizzey said.

To date, confirmed partners of Hair Raise include industry’s big kids such as American Crew, Revlon Professional, Ecoheads, Goldwell and Hair Expo.

Benny Risher of Ecoheads said that the company’s beliefs and efforts towards sustainable future involve supporting children which is the biggest support for the future for all of us.

The sentiment was also shared by American Crew and Revlon Professional’s Rob Gattuso.

“We are proud to support the Hair Raise event. Not only is it a great creative event for the industry, but the money raised goes directly to two worthy causes,” said Rob.

Goldwell expressed its pride to be aligned with an event that supports the industry whilst inspiring salon professionals in general.

“The Goldwell brand is proud to be a partner of the inaugural Hair Raise party, an event that showcases key Australian hairdressing talent providing inspiration to the broader salon community whilst raising money for HeartKids and OzHarvest,” said Louise Chamberlain, Marketing Director for Goldwell. “The Goldwell brand is proud to be aligned with an event of this calibre that supports our industry whilst having a party that promises to stop the nation,” she said.

Hair Expo is also delighted to be partnering with the inaugural Hair Raise hair show.

“To be amongst Australia’s most inspirational hairdressers, as the industry from across the country comes together to raise funds for two such important charity initiatives, is something that we are so proud to be a part of – and if any industry knows how to put together an entertaining night, it’s hairdressers! We are looking forward to the evening and raising as much money as we can for the two worthy causes,” Julia Erben, Event Director, Hair Expo Australia said.

Kobi also announced supports from the industry’s various trade media outlets including our own INSTYLE and Styleicons.

A number of sponsors come together to supply goods and services for the event. These include Amelia Axton Make Up, Ciroc Vodka, Sally Clark Choreographer, Bake Bar, Henryk Lobaczewski Photography, Vanilla Bean Events, Siren Marketing, Lydia Jane Saunders Fashion Stylist, and Zelen Design.

Kobi said that having the current leaders of Australian hairdressing, Hairdresser of the Year Frank Apostolopoulos, Educator of the Year Sharon Blain, and international platform artist and Alternative Hair Show presenter Emiliano Vitale joining him in supporting HeartKids NSW and OzHarvest was a true honour and showed just how much Australian hairdressers care and contribute to the community.

“It is time that the care and kindness of Australian hairdressers everywhere is recognised by the greater community,” said Kobi.

The hair show will also feature an after party with DJ Johnny Gleeson and include a Ciroc Vodka Coconut on arrival and more sponsored drinks till 10pm, goody bags, dancers, photo booth to help remember the night and even more surprises.

Be sure to come along to the night, have fun and be inspired!
