One of the few events during fashion week to draw the fashion pack away from Circular Quay, The Grand Social‘s The Escape was a stylish setting at The Club in Kings Cross that helped ease the mid-week madness of fashion week for hundreds of fashion worshippers.

Transformed into a ‘winter garden’ – turf was laid through the entrance and outdoor areas emanating an aroma likened to that of a school fair and quickly becoming a topic of conversation.

The free-flowing Peroni and Smirnoff Black vodka was enthusiastically finished by the time the clock struck 12 although the rock and house tunes made for a welcome relief during a hectic week.

Internationally acclaimed DJ Natasha Slater, founder of Milan’s fashion week party Punks Wear Prada, spun the decks until Australian fashion designer Kirrily Johnston took over as designers, models, editors and fashionistas kept flowing through the doors as each RAFW parade wrapped up.
