We’re not even two months into 2021, and still in the midst of a global pandemic, but that hasn’t stopped some of the world’s biggest stars from opting for some major hair transformations and lighting up your Instagram feeds, in lieu of a red carpet, with those changes.
2021 is already seeing celebrities change it up with their hair and setting the trends so read on to find out which celebrity hair transformations are worth seeing in the early parts of the year.
Shakira
With a simple ‘voila’ singing sensation Shakira shared her new vivid pink look with over 70 million Instagram followers. In follow up posts, Shakira said she went brighter than expected when she intended to go rose pink, ran out of the colour and improvised. The bold look harkens back to some stand out styles from Shakria in the 90s and early noughties, while showing your clients both how fun bright colour can be and how tricky home colour can be too.
Kylie Jenner
Being February, you would expect that the youngest KarJenner has changed her hair up a fair bit already in 2021. Known for adapting her colour and style, Kylie started the year in a deep red hue, went to extreme length (we’re talking knee-length) and has now been sporting that length in her usual dark brunette colour for weeks. The power of extensions is clearly real to both Kylie and her 216 million (!) followers.
Demi Lovato
Demi has gone pink and we are here for it. Debuting a blonde pixie cut with a dually dark undercut in November, her pixie cut is now pink on top as debuted in January to her 99 million followers.
Lisa Origliasso
Lisa Origliasso, AKA Lisa from The Veronias, is usually seen with her long brunette hair, much like her band’s titular character from the Archie comics. However, the singer traded in the look for a shaggy bob with her usual dark base and new mermaid green undertones, revealing the look in the first week of January and captioning it “I already like 2021 better”. Strong same.
Bella Hadid
The supermodel offered a new look to almost 40 million Instagram followers, following in the ‘new year, new look’ trend and sporting face framing ginger highlights on January 4. A lesson in how just a little bit of colour can be a fun turn at transformation.
