Making her debut on day three of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW), jewellery designer Emma Pills threw an epic party-style runway show, complemented by slicked-back hair looks by O&M, writes Ashleigh Matheson.
“The collection is party vibes and it’s just about girls having fun,” hair director Mary Alamine revealed backstage.
“What we did was we sprayed in the surf bomb and blasted that into the hair. Then section by section we just moulded it with Original Queenie and Style Guru. The hair is styled to hold and to stay, whilst still giving off a fun party vibe,” Mary explained.
The hero products of the show were O&M’s Original Queenie, Style Guru, and Frizzy Logic Shine Serum.
The afterparty of the afterparty, the Emma Pills show sure rocked AAFW.
Achieve the polished, wet look with the O&M step-by-step guide below.
Get the look:
Step 1: On damp hair. Layer O&M Atonic from roots to the ends. Follow with the Style Guru and blow-dry into the hair directing every sections back away from the hairline using a round brush.
Step 2: Using a tail comb section divide the hair into 2 sections from ear to ear.
Step 3: Spray the font section with Original Queen and brush the hair using a smoothing brush to then tie into a ponytail leaving the underneath section out.
Step 4: Grab a 1cm piece of hair from the ponytail and wrap around the ponytail to hide the elastic.
Step 5: Use a medium curling tone and curl each section vertically and alternating directions of the curl. Let each section cool.
Step 6: Repeat this step all through the hair
Step 7: Once hair has cooled, spray with Original Queen hairspray and comb the hair with a wide tooth comb.
Step 8: Finish with Frizzy logic shine spray on the ends and add Frizzy Logic shine serum to the sleek section for added shine.
