Wrapping up day one of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW) 2022, was Bec and Bridge’s appointment fashion showcase. From low-rise pants to sultry eyeshadow, Bec and Bridge were giving us all 90s grunge vibes, complemented by Redken and hair director Di Gorgievski, writes Ashleigh Matheson.
“Today’s hair look is inspired by this incredible showcase – it’s 21 years this year for Bec and Bridge,” Di told us backstage. “We’re bringing that youthful glamour back to the runway, with gorgeous blowdries, lived-in textures, and that wet look. We really had pulled inspiration from all the former runway shows and Euphoria, as well as today’s modern glamour.”
“The hair and makeup are juxtaposing looks, to really bring out that youthful elegance.” Di explained that she wanted the hair to embody that persona of “that girl who’s out there, always going out, partying and having a good time. Bringing back fun to life after the last few years.”
Redken’s The Big Blowout Cream, Shine For All, and Guts were Di’s must-have products essential in creating these ‘it girl’ looks.
