Erik Yvon showed off a colourful collection comprised of mesh and chains, with complementary hair looks by Redken at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week that were often just as bright.
Redken Hair Director Diane Gorgievski created three signature hair styles to elevate the fashion looks. These looks included finger waves with slick and smooth texturing as created by the baby hairs on the model’s face, as well as a super shiny wet look and a more relaxed style to enhance the natural textures of the model’s face.
“This year, there were three key looks including a deconstructed wet look, finger waves and a natural big texture look with hairline waves. To get the looks this season, you’ll need four key Redken products; Guts Gel, Fashion Work 12, Align and Rewind,” Diane said, adding that the looks are easily recreated from the runway to salon relevant and wearable.
Matching the vibrant colour of the fashion, these hair styles were often created in evocative hues such as pink or blue, really adding a splash of unique colour artistry to AAFW.
Front row guests of the brand included Saskia Wotton and partner, Dave Frim both from Netflix series Byron Baes.
Another example of editorial hair artistry walking the runway in Sydney this month, and some ideal backstage inspo in style and colour for your not-so-inner artist.
