The Australian College of Make-Up and Special Effects is bringing a night course to their Broadway location. The course will cover a range of hair skills in a bid to help hair stylists master their chosen craft or allow makeup artists to add a vital skill to their repertoire, at a time that fits their schedule.
The course will teach styling to both hairdressers and makeup artists
Utilising products from well-known local brand Eleven Australia and professional equipment, the course will cover blow dries, braids, barrel curls, and French and victory rolls. It will also instruct on a vintage Hollywood glamour aesthetic, complete with finger waves, with modern and innovative twists. It aims to make students quicker and more efficient in their styling for both long and short hair.
The course will be comprised of three and a half hour sessions every Thursday from 5pm for ten weeks, starting October 9th. It will cost $1500, which includes the use of products and equipment. The course will present students with a Certificate of Achievement upon completion.
The styles will range from creative to commercial
“There was a time when hair skills were not entirely necessary for Makeup Artists, this has been changing over the last twenty years,” explained Vanessa Katama, Head of School at ACMUSE. “Due to this, there are a number of highly skilled Artists out there who graduated from their respective Colleges without enough hair styling skills under their belt. This is a great opportunity to fill that gap and raise the bar when it comes to hair styling.”
The perfect opportunity for any member of the beauty industry, these night course will develop a multitude of skills and benefit students and professionals alike.
