The Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) is hosting two major events over hairdressing’s biggest weekend, directly preceding Hair Festival 2025. The AHC Industry Day on June 27 and AHC Leadership Summit on June 28 will spark conversations, educate and inspire across the hair and barbering industry.
The Industry Day is predicated on training, as delivered to salon owners, RTOs, educators, trainers and decision-makers shaping tomorrow’s workforce, taking place all day at the Sheraton Grand Sydney at Hyde Park. The agenda will include keynote speakers, panel sessions and practical workshops focused on the current challenges and opportunities in the hair industry’s training systems, with the ability to dive deeper into the Training Package Review.

The day will also be comprised of conversations with salon owners and educators who are rethinking apprenticeships and training models, a look at bold case studies from educators working in non-traditional learning environments and a session on how hairdressing can be used to aid disadvantaged communities.
Also taking place at the Sheraton Grand Sydney, the AHC Leadership Summit will take over the next afternoon, inspiring salon owners, operators, managers, educators, and brand leaders with sessions on business, leadership and innovation in the hair and barbering industry.

Headlining keynote speaker Mark McCrindle, who is a leading social researcher in Australia, will detail how generational and societal shifts are reshaping the business landscape. An agenda further packed with curated panel discussions and expert interviews will cover team culture, retention, client experience, tech trends, future-proofing your business and beyond.
This will be followed by Schmoozefest, which is a relaxed cocktail evening where attendees can network, connect and end the two-day series on a high.
The event is open to AHC members and the broader industry community. Book your tickets now and kick start this unparalleled weekend of hair.
