Centred on principles of community, collaboration and charity, Hair Jam Sydney is taking place this Sunday on October 27, raising vital funds for The Little Heroes Foundation. The barber-focused event offers an ideal opportunity to network and witness inspiring haircuts created live, while raising money for this important cause.
Taking place at Uno Studios in Alexandria, the event will offer giveaways and prizes to be won throughout the event, with a massive $3000 prize thanks to JRL Professional and Hairco as the pinnacle prize. Each purchased ticket automatically enters you into the draw, and you have a higher chance of winning with every additional ticket purchased.
The bold artists on stage will include Enzo Thomas from Perspective, who brings his Parisian roots, and now Melbourne experience, to showcase precision hair cutting. Enzo has led campaigns for Brother Wolf and Wahl Pro and leads education events with his Perspective brand. The Studio X team, led by Suzi, will also present, showcasing their fun family vibe that is a stalwart of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Anthony Taverna of Adelaide’s Plek Barbershop will be another inspiring educator, passing on his own education from Amsterdam and London, and showcasing his passion for shaving and service as a long-time barbershop owner, educator and mentor. Next, Sammy and Ji, founders of Sonder Academy, will host the Sonder team on stage, showcasing their unique brand of modern men’s style. Sonder has locations from Neutral Bay to the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and is renowned as a tailored, detail-oriented, future-focused brand.
Finty O’Hara will take to the stage, hailing from Sydney’s east and well-known for his social media presence, where his step-by-step cutting videos and product reviews have amassed hundreds of thousands views across Instagram and TikTok. On stage, he will present modern style and provide essential social media tips and tricks. Tom Wynn of Attaboy will also join the line-up to demonstrate a live cut, travelling from Adelaide to offer his more than 11 years of experience, where he specialises in men’s colour and is a JRL ambassador and NAK educator. Lastly, the Hearts And Minds team, from the Central Coast of NSW, will also present, expressing their community-minded and education focused business on stage. Expect insights into barbershop-ready looks, business building know-how, competition tips and more.
The event has proud brand and barbershop sponsors including Perspective Hair, BLAK Haircare, JRL Professional, Hairco, Attaboy and Hair by Rob via Rob Szincsak, who will act as the event host.
The philanthropic event has been created entirely in support of the Little Heroes Foundation. Rob Szincsak and Robby Lippett of Attaboy will be running a massive 80 kilometres from Victor Harbour’s Granite Island Jetty to Glenelg Jetty in South Australia on December 1 to raise funds and awareness for their cause of childhood dementia. The duo is hoping to raise $80,000 as a donation, and this event will go towards that goal. The pair are fighting against an illness that affects around 2,300 children nationally, and caused the death of an estimated 91 children in Australia last year, a number comparable to childhood cancer.
These inspiring barbers are educating, presenting and running for this significant cause – come along on Sunday and be a part of the movement.
