Australian American Crew All Star Winner Announced as International Finalist

Is that the distant sound of a patriotic Australian chant?

Australian talent has been recognised in the most competitive sport of all – barbering and men’s hair – with recently named national American Crew All Star Challenge winner, Ben Kane, being announced as an international finalist. The men’s hairdresser, hailing from Rokk Man Barbers, will now compete against 14 other international finalists chosen from thousands of entries worldwide.

“The All-Star Challenge brings together the next generation of stylists and groomers who are shaping literally and figuratively the future of style,” said David Raccuglia, founder of American Crew. “They are a digitally native group that connects not only with clients behind the chair, but in this new global forum we live in. Their accessibility to trends and cultures contributes to the exciting visions they bring to the competition this May.”

The annual global competition tasks hairdressers to combine art, style and technique in exceptional men’s grooming, delivering their interpretation of the ultimate American Crew man. The talented finalists will now compete for the ultimate prize in Brussels in May, and shoot with David himself. All finalists (and national winners) will also attend the 2017 Revlon Style Masters and American Crew international showcase, while the international winner will be awarded US$10,000 as a cash prize as well as global media coverage.
