20 Australian and New Zealand finalists are probably still celebrating the announcement of the local Wella TrendVision finalists, which were unveiled in Sydney on June 26th.
As always, the annual awards will focus on two primary areas of hair artistry, the Colour Vision category, which centres on superior colour technique, and the Young Talent category, which supports emerging stylists with a focus on cut and style.
These two categories provide a platform for national and international talents hailing from Wella salons to show off their creative chops and possibly walk away with a plane ticket to Germany.
The 10 Australian finalists from each category will compete live at the national final that will be hosted in Auckland on September 13th, with the winner of each category to compete in the international finals in Berlin on November 22nd.
At last year’s international competition in Monaco, our exports represented our industry incredibly well. Lyndal Salmon of Biba, Australia, won the Gold medal in the Colour awards, while Chinney Yeap from New Zealand and Skot Condon from Australia were each awarded the Bronze award in the Colour and Young Talent categories, respectively. Needless to say, the bar is set high.
Congratulations and good luck to the finalists listed below.
