Invite limited-edition hair accessories under your tree and into your salon, housed in gift packaging that celebrates botanical beauty and an overall ethos of the purposeful spirit of giving with Aveda. The brand has collaborated with 3.1 Phillip Lim on their 2021 holiday collection.
The partnership builds on a longstanding relationship and is unified through the two brands’ shared values, which encase the collection with botanical-inspired graphics and vivid colours from nature at every step. Another significant focus was the elements used, which included organic cotton and recycled PET and FSC-certified paper, both of which are high-quality and sustainability driven for these thoughtful sets.
“Developing this collection felt like a natural evolution of our relationship with Aveda,” shared Phillip Lim, Creative Director and Co-Founder of 3.1 Phillip Lim. “It is through our shared values to protect and care for the planet, that we can bring natural beauty and joy to the simple rituals in life. Mother nature thrives when given the space to move through her natural cycles; we wanted to harness that spirit into thoughtful gifting for a loved one to flourish and thrive.”
The collection is based around four accessories. These are a hair towel wrap, carrying bag, detangling comb and special-edition gift packaging, all anchored in design by the striking collaboration prints. For the final accessory, in addition to its use as holiday gift packaging, recipients can reuse or display the gift boxes as miniature works of botanical art by removing and recycling the paper sleeve. The artwork featured on these accessories was designed in collaboration with botanical artist Sophie Parker, renowned for her use of fresh-cut botanicals as the canvas for her hand-painted art.
These festive accessories and designs are paired with a variety of beloved Aveda collections in pre-made gift sets, such as the Light and Deep Moisture Collections, Strengthening Collections in Light, Deep and regular formats, the Cherry Almond Softening Hair + Body Essentials and Shampure™ Aromatic Essentials, which variously offer shampoos, masques, conditioners, treatments, body lotions and perfume mists. The accessories are also available individually for customised gifting opportunities.
The collection will be available as of November from Aveda salons, spas, stores, select retail partners and online, making them the thoughtful, purposeful and beautiful ideal new additions to your salon shelf and for under the Christmas tree.
