Your clients may have been sitting in isolation dreaming of what hair looks they wanted to try as soon as they were prepared to head back to the salon and, now that you have them back in the chair, those isolation dreams might create a more audacious colour request. If that’s what they’re asking for, look no further than the latest celebrity hair trend, as A-listers around the world brighten up your feed with the two-toned colour hair trend.

Celebrities have been going a little crazy with their colour while stuck at home and, up until now, pink seemed to be the pervading trend of choice. However, two-toned colour is all the rage, as celebrities like Georgia May Jagger, who wowed her almost one million followers with a dual turquoise and violet look, and Pixie Gelfdof, rocking pink and mint green (AKA #watermelonhair), showed off the trend. Pixie’s delineation between the front and back of her hair was a unique take on the look.

Ruby Rose’s buzzcut had the same creative treatment, shining in blue and pink as delineated down the middle of her head. Don’t think this is a temporary change, the actress has been showing off the look all month.

Other celebrities tried the colour look in a different style. Dua Lipa made bright red hair her latest colour of choice – one of many colour changes she’s tried in isolation. The bright hue is purely surface level, mixing with her dark, brunette hair in a definitively two-toned fashion.

Hilary Duff’s two-toned colour is extremely relatable – a symptom of her dark roots growing out and making her once blue hair now both two-toned and, conveniently, trending. Another way to convince your clients their new fresh colour will stay popular for awhile yet!
