Education company Chisholm has invested $26 million into the new Berwick Trade Careers Centre. Fresh from being named Australia’s Largest Training Provider of the Year for 2014, the leading organisation is making 2015 another year to remember.
The new centre will cater to a variety of disciplines, including hairdressing, offering apprenticeship training. It builds on Berwick TEC, where Chrisholm provides pre-apprenticeship training for its students.
Industry veteran Ruth Browne has been appointed as the Manager of Hair, Beauty and Wellness at Chisholm, with an aim to further industry engagement. For example, programs in August will host Lorna Evans in a long hair styling course, Mario Fallace for an eight day barbering session and Bernadette Beswick for a seminar on haircutting and retailing.
“Here at Chisholm, we are absolutely committed to delivering a world-class teaching environment for our students, providing employers and industry partners with a highly-skilled and talented workforce to improve business productivity and deliver quality outcomes for all,” Ruth shared. “These students and graduates will one day become leaders of our industry so it is imperative that their training is of the highest standard.”
Chisholm is inviting local employers and industry members to take a personalised tour of this state of the art training environment. With 400 courses across seven locations in Melbourne’s south east, Chisholm earns its glowing reputation and this new facility is definitely worth a look.
